What's in a license?
A license is your key to one app, and it never expires. Polar, our checkout partner, emails it to you after you pay and keeps a copy in its customer portal.
Are updates included?
Yes. Bug fixes and new features for the version you bought cost nothing extra. If we ever release a paid major version, the one you own keeps working, and upgrading is up to you.
How many devices can I use it on?
One key works on up to 3 of your devices at a time. Replacing one? Deactivate the old device in Polar's customer portal and use the key on the new one.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If an app doesn't work for you, ask within 14 days of buying and we'll refund the full price.
What happens if Buddy Studio disappears?
Apps installed on your Mac or iPhone run on your device and keep working without us. If we ever shut down, we'll first ship an update that removes the license check, and give you time to export anything you keep in our web apps.
Why don't you charge monthly?
Most apps people rent work the same in month 30 as they did in month 3, but the bill keeps coming. We'd rather charge once for the work and leave it at that.
