Terms
What you get when you buy a Buddy Studio app. The short version: you pay once, and the license is yours.

This page is a draft. Details in [brackets] are still missing, and it isn't final until they're filled in and a lawyer has read it.
Who sells what
Buddy Studio (Castor Pollux GmbH) builds the apps. Polar Software Inc. sells them to you as merchant of record: your purchase contract is with Polar, which takes the payment, charges VAT where it applies and sends the invoice. Polar's checkout terms cover the payment. These terms cover the license we give you for the app.
One price, paid once
Each app has one price. It's on the app's page and at checkout, and you pay it once.
- Buddy Files€49 once

No subscriptions
We don't sell subscriptions. Nothing you buy here renews, and we never bill you again for a license you've paid for.
Your license
When the payment goes through, Polar emails you a license key. You'll also find it in Polar's customer portal, where you sign in with the email address you used at checkout. The key doesn't expire.
One key activates the app on up to [3 devices, to be confirmed]. To move it to a new device, deactivate an old one in the customer portal. The license is for you, so please don't share or resell the key.
Updates
[Which updates a license includes, e.g. every 1.x release or every future version]
No update will ever turn an app you bought into a subscription.
Refunds
If an app doesn't work for you, ask within [14 days, to be confirmed] of buying and we'll refund the full price.
Polar processes refunds. Email us with your order reference and we'll take it from there.
Right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)
If you buy as a consumer in the EU, you have a legal right of withdrawal. How it applies to digital content you've already downloaded or activated needs exact legal wording, which goes here:
